URBAN POETICS _ UM~A

UM~A / Urban Poetics is a multidisciplinary and cross-border artistic intervention that inhabits public space to stitch together the invisible lines between urban landscapes and primordial ecosystems. Born from deep research into the political ecology of rubber extraction, the project manifests as a poetic and sensory portal that both challenges and bridges the concepts of ancestrality and futurism. Through a symbiosis of body, voice, and technology, the performance rejects the capitalist logic of continuous production to propose a collective ritual of deceleration and listening.

On stage, performers utilize motion biosensors that translate bodily stimuli and environmental dynamics into real-time soundscapes. This "Ecology of the Senses" activates the collective creative body, inviting the audience to share the space and let their own voices tremble in unison. UM~A is not merely a presentation, but a methodology for social gathering and historical healing. By reclaiming memories of historically exploited territories and bringing them into friction with European asphalt, the work creates a temporary territory of belonging, where error, vulnerability, and presence serve as political tools to reimagine tomorrow. It is a living tribute to those who came before and a somatic manifesto for ecological regeneration in the heart of the city.
